Elements and Performance Criteria

  10. Implement clean up methods appropriate to environmental conditions
  11. Make arrangements for the transport of resources and personnel to oiled shoreline clean up site
  12. Establish onsite support for personnel, in accordance with organisational procedures
  13. Establish worksite management zones
  14. Organise appropriate security for oiled shoreline and incident control centre
  15. Establish a decontamination centre
  16. Manage waste from clean up
  17. Establish temporary waste holding areas that allow for safe containment and appropriate segregation of waste
  18. Arrange for the removal of waste from temporary to permanent storage, in accordance with relevant legislation
  19. Deploy and monitor work teams
  20. Brief teams and allocate tasks relating to relevant timeframe and role to be performed
  21. Monitor work situation on a regular basis for effectiveness and safety performance of task
  22. Maintain accurate logs to record actions and decisions made at site
  23. Review and change plans, as required, in accordance with organisational procedures
  24. Equipment is returned to designated areas, as required
  25. Post spill reports are completed and submitted to relevant personnel
  26. Records are collected, collated, checked and forwarded to appropriate personnel, in accordance with organisational procedures
